July 25, 2023: Tim Coker N6WIN: The ND7K Contest Station

Tim Coker N6WIN will tell us about the huge contest station that he has built on 5 acres in rural Yavapai County, Arizona, with the goal of winning contests, something that is usually the purview of heavyweights in the more populous US states. He shares the contest-only call sign ND7K with Dan Craig N6MJ. The station’s antenna towers include three T-26's, each 130 feet high, and one 70-ft crank-up.

Tim holds the Extra class license. He had been an active ham and contester since he was licensed in 1989 at the age of 11. He partnered with N6MJ and KL8A in developing his home context station. He also holds the call sign ZF2IN and has been operating from the Cayman Islands for the previous three years as part of many multi ops. Besides his own ND7K, he has operated from some of the largest stations across the country including K3LR, KL7RA, W6YI, and others.
