April 23, 2019: Dick Norton N6AA: ARRL and ham radio happenings

We invited ARRL Southwestern Division Director Dick Norton for a return engagement this year, especially in light of major changes that have taken place in ARRL management since his last visit.

If you have attended an ARRL convention, this will be similar to the ARRL Forums usually included there. It's your chance to ask questions and let your Division Director know what your concerns are as a members.

Dick Norton, N6AA, was first licensed in 1955 as KN2PHF. Initially active in traffic nets and DXing, he is mostly active today on-the-air in contests. Operating in CQ WW DX Contests from all of the 40 zones has given him an opportunity to see the world and meet with amateurs from all corners of the globe.

Dick is currently ARRL Southwestern Division Director. He has spoken frequently at Dayton and Visalia, to name only two of the many places where he has spoken..

One of the super stars of amateur radio contesting and DXing, Dick was elected to the CQ Contest Hall of Fame in 1995. He is one of the very few hams to have operated in all 40 CQ zones. He is currently the President of the Southern California Contest Club.
