August 26, 2025: Bruce Nolte N1BN and John Armstrong KF6GG: N6P FIeld Day 2025 Movie and An Antenna Adventure in the Park

Bruce Nolte N1Bn will present his film N6P Field Day 2025. For 2025 the N6P Field Day included JPL Amateur Radio Club, Pasadena Radio Club, South Pasadena Amateur Radio Club, and Caltech Amateur Radio Club. Bruce shot three and one-half hours of video from the ground. Aerial video was provided by Steve Newquist KO6DTY. Bruce edited it all down to 30 minutes.

Following the Field Day movie, club president John Armstrong KF6GG will tell us about his recent antenna experiments, conducted in search of a better HF antenna. John is pursuing features such as ease of setup, efficiency, and wider bandwidth.

Bruce Nolte has been a member of the club since 1989 and has been making W6KA videos since 1994. Many of them are posted on his YouTube channel, with links on the Library page of the club´s website www.w6ka.net. Bruce is a graduate of the Film School at CalArts and has worked in documentary film production for many years.

John Armstrong was first licensed in 1961. During his career as an RF engineer, Staff Scientist, and corporate CTO, he developed and patented several specialized antannae in the VHF and UHF bands.
