January 27, 2015: David Ziskin AG6E: Maritime radio


David Ziskin is one of the last sailing shipboard electronics officers. He holds a USCG Merchant Mariner's Document as a GMDSS Operator-Maintainer and as a Radio Officer. His presentation will address various interesting aspects of maritime radio arising from his years in that field.

David is the Chief Radio Officer of the SS Lane Victory, and is involved with the restoration of Radio Central on the USS Iowa. He sailed for several years for Woods Hole and for the US Navy.

He has  held a ham license for more than 50 years, and is a member of the QCWA (Quarter Century Wireless Association). He is a member of the United Amateur Radio Club (San Pedro).
