March 2, 2018: ARRL International DX Contest

The objective of this contest is for encourage W/VE (U.S./Canadian) stations to expand knowledge of DX propoagation on the HF and MF bands, improve operating skills, and improve station capability by creating a competition in which DX stations may only contact W/VE stations.
W/VE amateurs: Work as many DX stations in as many DXCC entities as posisble on the 160, 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 meter bands.
DX stations: Work as many W/VE stations in as many of the 48 contiguous states and provinces as possible.
The contest runs for 48 hours over the first weekend in March, from 0000 UTC Saturday until 2359 UTC Sunday. For us on Pacific Time (in California), the contest begins at 5 p.m. on Friday and ends at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Our club will participate in the single transmitter, multi-operator category from the radio room at the Walnut Center of Kaiser Permanente in Pasadena. Club members are invited to sign up for a three-hour operating shift. Sign-ups will be available on-line using SignUp Genius. Please sign up as soon as possible for your preferred operating slot(s). The sooner you do, the better the chance of getting the operating time(s) you want.
